"Bealenergy, LLC is a start-up renewable energy development business based in downeast Maine. We are family-owned, family-operated, and family-and-friends-funded. Presently, our focus is on community-scale wind energy development, but we plan to expand our business to include other forms of renewable energy generation in the future.

Prior to entering the renewable energy field, the Beale family focused primarily on the development and construction of residential and commercial real estate, having recently received an architectural award for a tastefully-designed, upscale condominium community. Our family has been building houses for many generations; we trace our roots to Benjamin Beale, an orphan immigrant who was taken-in and raised by his uncle and who grew up to build and own a spice import wharf, a warehouse, and the first multi-unit apartment building in Boston in the late 1600s. Our family has been connected with the building construction trade since these early days, and this trend has continued through to the present day.

Following the downturn in the housing market in the late 2000s, our family shifted its focus and began to apply our engineering and construction expertise to renewable energy -- a field which we believe holds great promise for the future of America, due to its clean energy generation technology, its lack of reliance on foreign oil imports and wars, and the plentiful direct investment and economic growth it provides to rural America.

Grampy Beale - 1936?

Because we are late entrants into the renewable energy development field, we have had the opportunity to learn from the mistakes of other energy developers: our goal is to develop, own, and operate first-rate, well thought-out renewable energy facilities that utilize the latest technologies, starting first with wind and then expanding into solar and hydrokinetic energy generation (tidal power, wave power, etc) in the future.

Our first project is Mason Bay Wind, which we are developing and constructing on our family blueberry farm in Jonesport, Maine. True to our philosophy, Mason Bay Wind is a first-rate wind energy development, which has been carefully considered and thoroughly planned. Neighborhood and environmental impact is negligible and the town will benefit greatly from the facility's tax revenue contributions, and temporary and permanent jobs. Mason Bay Wind has the support of neighbors and abutters, and wind development in general is supported by the vast majority of the town.

Bealenergy strives to employ local contractors and workers wherever possible, and to use American-sourced products and components wherever feasible. We will strive also to use the latest and greatest technologies in all Bealenergy facilities and to thereby ensure that our projects, our customers, and our neighbors benefit from the best the renewable energy industry has to offer.
